If requests are submitted incorrectly, they will be rejected and will be followed up with a message to re-submit. Please review the options carefully to ensure your request is submitted accurately. If you’re unsure, shoot us an email and we’ll be happy to help!
Our song revisions fix errors that were made by Songfinch or your artist while creating your song. Those song revisions include:
Incorrect Lyric Details
Your lyrics contain incorrect details based on information originally submitted at the time of purchase
This does not include personal preference changes or utilizing new information for lyrics
Mispronunciations
Names, places, or other words are mispronounced within your lyrics
Playback Issues
Your song is skipping or there are other issues playing your song in its entirety
Song Page Lyric Typos
The typed lyrics on your song page don’t match what the artist is singing

Our Extra Vocal Recording Session add-on gets your artist back in the studio to work on your song with your supplied lyric tweaks to get your song closer to your vision. These types of revisions include:
Changing Lyrics Based On Personal Preference
Sometimes your artist gets your details included correctly, but you have another way to say it or would rather have a different detail worked into that spot of the song. Supply us with a few lyrical notes to get the song closer to your vision.
The final version of the song is based on the mp3 we receive from your artist. If you would like the typed lyrics to match the sung lyrics we can fix those typos free of charge! However, you may want your artist to re-record the vocal line and match it to the drafted typed lyrics.
Incorrect Details Submitted
There are times that details, dates, or other information you submitted are incorrect and we want your song to be as accurate to your story as possible! This allows us to correct anything you may have supplied incorrectly.
Remove Details From Your Lyrics
You supplied us with details and you may not have thought they would make the song’s lyrics or you changed your mind and want them removed.
Services included with an Extra Vocal Recording Session:
Up to three (3) single lyrical tweaks
Lyric line re-writes (if necessary)
Vocal re-record
Full song remix to ensure everything is smooth + cohesive
Our artists do their best to work as many details into your song as possible while making it feel cohesive and smooth. Sometimes our artists can work in a solid amount of your details and sometimes the details are a bit harder to work in without feeling like a long list of randomness. If you’d like more details included in your song, our Extra Verse add-on allows you to add an additional 3-4 details to your song by adding another verse (~6-10 lyric lines).
To add an Extra Verse: login to your Songfinch account, visit your song’s add-on store, and add the extra verse add-on. You’ll be able to include the additional details you’d like added at the time of purchase. Limit 1 extra verse per song.
Below are some of the revision requests we do not currently offer due to fulfillment complexities:
Requesting a new Songfinch artist to cover your existing Songfinch song (same exact song/lyrics, different artist)
Requests to change or add instrumentation to your song
Requests to perform melodies, words, notes, and/or runs differently
Re-record your full completed song based on new lyrics you wrote
Fully removing lines in the middle of verses/stanzas/choruses

Songfinch commissions an artist to create your song as soon as you submit your order. Once your artist delivers the song, our Music Supervision team listens and checks the song for accuracy, playback/mixing quality, personal touches, and more. All songs delivered to our customers have gone through this process and have passed Songfinch’s requirements we have set with our Artist Community.
Any errors that our artist or Songfinch make will be covered for free and paid for by Songfinch. However, a majority of our song revision requests are based on personal preference, missing/wrong information submitted or other factors outside our control during initial song creation. Since these requests are not due to artist error, we cannot request your artist to complete these requests for free. Songfinch does not aim to make money from Song Revisions, we want your song as perfect as possible and the process to get it there as easy as it can be — believe us.
Sometimes there are multiple change requests for the same song. If your song requires a Lyrical Studio Session request and an Artist/Songfinch Error, please purchase the Lyrical Studio Session and add the change to the same request so they can all be entered and completed at the same time. Please do not enter 2 separate requests for an Artist / Songfinch Error and Lyrical Studio Session.
From the moment your song is delivered, we allow 48 hours for song revisions to be submitted. If your order contains add-ons and we receive an edit request within 48 hours, your add-ons will be paused from production. Alternatively, if we do not receive edit requests after 48 hours, production will begin for the add-ons.
For an extra verse, you generally have 7 days to submit the request. After 7 days, we cannot guarantee the artist will have your song’s studio session to make the necessary changes to your song to accommodate an extra verse.
Song revisions generally take 4 days to complete but can take up to 7 days to complete depending on each artist's individual availability. We, and your artist, understand that your song is special and do our very best to get edits completed as swiftly as possible.
