We know you have skills, so let's test 'em out

The next step to get you into the songwriting loop is to complete a brief below so we know that your skills translate well to our offering and we know where to position you to succeed. We are really working to paint pictures and build strong connections, so while instrumentation is important, the lyrics and personal details tied in are the driver of these songs.

*IMPORTANT* We will use this test to match you with opportunities so please make the test sound as close to what you would be turning in as possible. It will benefit you greatly by getting you opportunities on a regular basis as well as having the opportunities fit your style.

Step-by-step on-boarding process:

1. Choose one of the song briefs below & click on the picture to open.

2. Read over the brief and turn it into a song. For the test, all we need lyrically is ONE VERSE and ONE CHORUS. You don't have to fit the whole brief into that one verse & chorus, just how you would structure them if you were doing a full song. For the verse, you can choose what would act as a first verse, second or third - it doesn't have to be the first verse of the song for the test. Moods, details & occasion are important to pay attention to so keep those in mind when creating the song.

3. Send in your submission to submissions@songfinch.com and we will listen and get back to you asap with feedback.

4. We will review your submission and upon acceptance, you will enter the Songfinch Songwriter Community and be eligible for countless opportunities that fit your style. If you are rejected, we will give feedback and give you a chance to fix the song to fit our offering a bit better.
